General Information

Halstead is a public high school enrolling approximately 250 students in ninth through twelfth grade. It draws from a community of about 2,400 people, located twenty-five miles northwest of Wichita, Kansas. The facilities are modern, supporting a variety of studies from computers through vocational training.

Program

Students may visit Halstead High School and take a range of different classesfor two to three weeks. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience life in a small, closely-kit community.

Living Arrangements and Travel

Home stays with Halstead families will be arranged through the guidance office.

Students should fly into Mid-Continent Airport in Wichita, KS where they will be met.

Network students must consult with the school and the host family to make sure that arrangements are vetted and approved before travel is secured.

Application Procedure

Students should complete the Network Student Information form and return it to the home school Network Advisor.

Dates

Individually arranged between September and April at our mutual convenience.

Inquire early, as space may be limited. Two to three week programs are available for 9th through 12th grade students. See the School Calendar for vacation dates.
